Wendy L. Knecht - As most of you know, I am a veterinary student at Purdue University, expecting to graduate in 2003.  I live in Indiana for the school year, and come home for Christmas and summer breaks to be with Ed and my family. In my free time (which is almost never!), I enjoy reading and relaxing with my cats. I also love to do yardwork, so I just can’t wait until Ed and I are finally able to purchase a home! I am really taking pleasure in putting our wedding together, and hope that the occasion is as beautiful and special as I had always imagined.  Edward A. Salaguinto - It seems as though I've been in school forever. Well, after next spring it will finally be all over! It used to be that I could go to school everyday and play 9-ball until 3 in morning (you can thank Sonny and his bro's for keeping me up so late). Naturally I dominated. Since pharm school I haven't been able to hold that tradition. I'm just a simple man with simple pleasures that make me happy. I'll pretty much find a way to have fun with just about anything. My most treasured times are when Wendy and I get to go away to Tahoe and forget about everything. I guess everything else I like to do, such as doing computer stuff by myself, swinging golf clubs with Sonny, and b-ballin' with Restie comes a distant second. If you noticed, these hobbies require thinking and I get too much of that at school already. I can't wait until school will finally be over and Wendy and I can just be at home together and have no other cares but for each other!
Candy  Hayhurst - Every day I take a moment to appreciate how lucky I am to have my mom.  She is the most supportive and caring person I have ever met and she always knows just what to say to put my mind at ease.  My mom and I grew very close after I moved out of the house, and I can tell her just about anything. I know that I could never have gotten to where I am in my life without her. Pacita Salaguinto - I'd have to say that my mom is the most accomplished woman in history. I get all of my traits from her. As I look back, growing up must have been really hard for us, being that we didn't have much money, didn't speak English, and my father was gone at sea most of the time. Growing up I never realized the tough times. My mom always kept us in the highest spirits while she was slaving away working a million jobs and finding out how to invest and make money in other ways. I've always wanted to model after my mother, to be the hardest worker and  to make everything look easy and carefree at the same time. When I got into pharm school my mom and I just hugged each other and cried. I took that moment and understood that I made her proud, which was my lifelong dream. Would I be here if I hadn't had my mother? I don't think I would.
Carolyn Barton - Carolyn is a student at UOP, majoring in psychology and business. She and I met as coworkers at the Crosstown Animal Hospital. Actually, we met at her interview for the job, because I helped interview her!  I always thought she was a maniac, and I liked her right from the get-go (even though I later found out she wasn’t so sure of me-hee hee!) Our friendship has really blossomed over the past couple of years-we even spent the Y2K New Years Eve dancing the night away at her parents black tie party! I couldn’t ask for a more sincere, supportive friend, and I am very excited that she will be standing with me at the ceremony! Sonny Wabe - I've known Sonny for the longest time. He's my next door neighbor and has been for about the last 15 years or so (maybe even longer). We joke all the time that we should build a hall between our 2 houses and join them because basically his house is my house and my house his.  He has a couple of brothers, but I've grown closest to him. Since we were in grade school we'd do just about anything you could think of. One year we discovered computers. It was like discovering a gold mine of ideas and we learned as much as we could from it. The thing about Sonny is that I can't keep track of which job he currently has. This guy is a real Jack of All Trades! You can ask him about anything and he'll know something about it. Need something fixed? Give it to me and Sonny and it's guaranteed to be good to go! Sonny has been next door to me since forever, so I'm making it so he'll have to be next door to me at the wedding.
Carly Hayhurst - Carly is my baby sister.  She is finally at an age where her and I enjoy doing things for each other and spending time together.  She is a wild one, though! She is sure to keep me up to date with the latest fashions and hottest hunks in Hollywood!  Not only that, but she watches me like a hawk, monitoring my every move, and keeping my life in check (I guess that is her job as my little sister). All that I can honestly say is that I just couldn’t have a wedding without her in it! Restie Crisologo - I met Restie back in high school when the Navy base at Rough and Ready Island had a Comissary. We really didn't know what each of us were in to at the time, we were just grocery baggers asking for tips as our wages. We got to be good friends when we had O-chem and Eastern Religion together at Delta College. If we weren't going over IR spec notes at Denny's we'd be at the gym shooting some hoops. The cool part about our friendship is that even when he left to go to Sac State and I went to UOP we still kept in touch. I'd call him for interview tips and other junk. We're both in pharmacy school now and we both should be graduating in May '01 (knock on wood). Pharm school would have been so rough if he hadn't been there. Restie will always be my lab partner, my 2-guard on the wing, and my first option colleague to go to when I need anything.

Naomi Marquez - Naomi is Ed's Niece. She'll be almost 3 years old at the time of the wedding.
We think she'll do great!
